A vacation in Corfu

Hi folks!!! Well I have finally returned home from my travels... a little browner, slightly hungover and a whole lot heavier...ooops! I've got a lot to tell!!!!

Over the next few days I will write a post about the ups and downs of the 'experience' but in the meantime I thought I'd wet your appetite with a handful of photos...

Bye for now,

Graham :)

  4. Thanks for the kind comments neoauteur, Linda and Muse!

...and Muse, you are right - it does look deserted. There is a lil story behind that, of which I will elaborate on when I write the full post.

  5. Wow, I didn't remember Greece was so green ! All I remember is taking a picture of a flamingo in front of a Beetle car and the white houses actually so... doesn't mean much !

Looks like you were in a Survivor episode !

  7. Hi buddy,
EEK! You have taken pictures of high places on purpose just to make me dizzy, haven't you?
Is that a monastery on top of that cliff?
Can't wait to read all about your adventures.
    Welcome home.

  8. Whoops! just read your cbox and DP says that it is a castle not a monastery. No matter what it is, it's way too high up!

  9. Hi Zhu, I'm not sure that Corfu is really a true representation of Greece.... Greece is much nicer. Quite frankly I was a little dissapointed in parts of Corfu, for being ruined by the English tourism. We spent most of our time trying to find quiet areas.

Choc, I will be sure to tell all!!!!

Azzy, thanks... it was a castle, and we found that it was closed (once we had made the challenging journey there and climbed the hundreds of steps).

hey Me!!! Long time no speak! Thanks for the kind comment :)

  10. Hi Graham. Trust me to be well behind the times huh? lol. I actually have vacationed in Greece a couple of times before I left the UK for the shores of Western Canada.

The first time was in Rhoda which isn't too too far away from Sidari. If I remember rightly though, it's one hell of a drive from the airport!

The second time, I went to Kassiopi which is a wonderful place to visit. Greece has always inspired in me a sense of peace. The white homes with the deep blue shutters and doors are just part of a perfect paradise for me.
