June Photography Challenge Introduction

"It's not what you photograph, it's how you photograph it" ~ Graham Ettridge

It's a new month, which means that it is yet again time for a new photography challenge!!!

So, now for the theme.....

I was walking down the street the other evening, and the sky was perfectly clear and the moon was out. It was most beautiful. I wish that I had a camera in my hand that very moment, so that I could have captured the image forever, but alas I didn't. However, it did give me a good idea for June's theme. So, as you have probably already guessed, my theme for June is "The Moon" or "Moonlight"

Guidelines

Just to recap, the guidelines for the challenge are as follows:

1) Take a photograph that in some way, manner or form represents the theme of "The Moon" or "Moonlight". You are welcome to use your artistic touch to manipulate the photograph using a photopackage such as photoshop. Be as creative as you desire!!!

2) Include a brief explanation of how the photograph(s) relate to the theme. The photograph doesn't need to be outside, it can be of somebody or of something around the home.... it just needs to represent the theme of the month.

3) When you have posted your challenge, be sure to send me a link so that I can include it on my "June Challenge Entry" post at the end of the month!

4) You want to join in with the challenge but don't have a blog or website to display your photograph on? No problem, just email me copy of the image, along with your name and a brief description of how the photograph(s) relate to the theme. I will then include your entry on my "June Challenge Entry" post at the end of the month!!!

!!Happy Photography!!

We need some spooky music - Are you reading my mind? Only a few days ago, I sent my kids names to the moon in project NASA is running online and today I bought a Planisphere to check out where the stars are in the sky. Now all I need is decent weather to make the moon visible as it has been very foggy.

I'm not an artistic person so I'm not going to participate in this challenge. But I can't wait to see everyone's photographs. xx

Chica, I would love to see your creativity in action! I have adjusted the scope to allow for photomanipulation. Good luck and I look forward to seeing the result :D

Hiya Liss! My goodness, that sounds so interesting! It has been raining here for days (if not weeks) so I too hope that we get a break in the clouds. I look forward to your results!!

Elise, awwww and I was soooo truly looking forward to seeing some of your photographs.... maybe I might be able to convince you with the next challenge xx

Hi Graham,
There may be a couple of pics you won't be able to publish on your blog depending on people's interpretation of 'Moon'. He, he!

If I can get the time (as I am concentrating on my murder mystery book at the moment) I will have a go at this one.

Hope you are well.

Love Azzy.

Oooh I like it. I've always been more of a "words" girl myself, but maybe i'll convince Goat to get in on the action of this one. He finally opened a flickr account so I'll pass your competition news on.

As always, what a wonderful idea Graham.

Hi Graham,

Done a quick pic of the moon this weekend, it's on my blog. Not what you would call very artistic as I haven't the equipment nor the time! But at least it isn't the naughty type of 'Moon'.

Love Azzy.
