October "Shadows & Silhouettes" Photography Challenge Results

"It's not the camera that takes a great photograph, it is the photographer"

Yet again, your talents are exploding and your imaginations run wild with a fantastic bunch of photographs for the October "shadows & silhouettes" challenge. I enjoyed each and everyone of them. Please visit the sites below to see each others interpretations:

Ingrid from Boricua in Texas - A fantastic silhouette on a red wall

Phoenix ryzing from Geeks R'Us - The Afternoon Nap - a great silhouette of his cat, Kal

Jessica from Wayfaring Wanderer - A truly amazing selection of photographs of the moon over a lake

Kimberley from Kimberly Kreations - A great interpretation of shadows from stones, to a cactus, to her true self

Toni from Daily Vignette - The most amazing evening sky.

Muse from Xanadu - A fabulous silhouette of two lovely ladies and a great shot of a rose in sunlight.

Elizabeth - A wonderful evening costal shot.

Michelle Dawn from Rusin Roundup - A brilliant Halloween shadow to send shivers down your spine.... spooky!!!!!

Liss from A Memory Forever - A truly warm and wonderful shot of dreams emerging from the shadow.

Thank you all for your wonderful interpretations. You have all really made me smile.

Okay, so now it is my turn to reveal my interpretation for the challenge. Well this time I have decided to post two images.

The first is a shot of Brian May from Queen, taken during the concert I went to last month. The lighting in the arena was amazing and I was fortunate to catch this shot when the lights all turned blue.

The second photograph was just a fun shot that I took whilst on holiday. I was stood on a bank and turned around to find a rather amusing shadow staring back at me. I don't think Indiana Jones has anything to worry about just yet.... hehehe!

Thank you all again for participating in this highly entertaining challenge. If you have undertaken the challenge, but I have missed your interpretation off the list, then please let me know and I will add it immediately.

I'll be posting a new challenge for November in the next couple of days.

Happy snapping!!!!

Graham xx

I can't wait to enter the next challenge. I'll have to put it with my "30 Days of Photography" I have going on with my blog.

I love that quote.

it reminds me of a writing quote...

"its NOT the story you tell, its HOW you tell the story..."

Wow i can't believe how well your concert shots turned out, very nice! I love the blue

The shadow of you in the indiana hat..lol! Were you on a bridge or away from the ground? I notice how the weeds on the ground seem big enough to be tree's around your shadow. I hope you continue these challenges, i think everyone enjoys a challenge and it's also great there is no 'winner'. We're all winners for the stories we've told through our lens

I don’t know, I think you could have Indiana Jones running scared. Move over Harrison Ford I say!!

Love the concert shots too you are so lucky to be that close to stage and get a shot. I am of to see Crowded House next month but think taking my camera would have me kicked out of the venue.

humorously, I had a photo ready to upload and then I realized that a reflection was neither a shadow nor a silhouette. I had to quickly find another shot.

great photos, all! I like the Indiana Jones one - it looks like you're saying goodbye to the desert.

I was quite busy and didn't have a chance to participate this time, but I'll be there for November hopefully!

You do look like Indiana Jones in the second picture :D

Your Queen pictures are just amazing. I saw quite a few on this blog and on Flickr (or was it RedBubble ?) and you took some really great shots.

Hi there Indie, great pics.

Only shadow pic I could get was my five o'clock shadow which, as you know, is not a good thing to have especially for a female!!!!!

Phoenix, I'm so glad you are enjoying the challenges!! I look forward to seeing your interpretation :)

Meleah, thank you and you have a truly wonderful way of telling a story! I love the way you write xx

Hey Michelle, I agree they are great photos!!!

Muse, I still can't get over how close I was too! It made the show even more magical for me... it certainly was "A Kind of Magic"...lol! For the shadow photo, I was high up on a mound and zoomed in onto my shadow. It made for quite a good effect!

Liss, Hush! You make me blush...lol! I hope you have a great time at the Crowded House concert :o)

Michelle, awww thank you so much :)

Elizabeth, I love being out and about in locations like that. I always find it hard to say goodbye :o)

Zhu, I look forward to seeing your November interpretation. I always admire your creativity. I wish you could have been at the Queen concert too, you would have loved it!!!

Azzy, c'mon! You look lovely... I remember your picnic photograph!!! :o) I look forward to seeing your November image too!

So many people have knack in photography and the talents have been brought into one place and also organized nicely. Great effort to publicize them.
