Where would you like to wake up tomorrow?

"Now it is Loneliness who comes at night
Instead of Sleep, to sit beside my bed.
Like a tired child I lie and wait her tread,
I watch her softly blowing out the light.
Motionless sitting, neither left or right
She turns, and weary, weary droops her head.
She, too, is old; she, too, has fought the fight.
So, with the laurel she is garlanded.

Through the sad dark the slowly ebbing tide
Breaks on a barren shore, unsatisfied.
A strange wind flows... then silence. I am fain
To turn to Loneliness, to take her hand,
Cling to her, waiting, till the barren land
Fills with the dreadful monotone of rain
"

Isn't it strange how somebody can have a busy life, having a successful job, a nice house, enjoying short-break adventures around the world, yet still feel incomplete and empty inside.
I have often wondered whether this is due to the fact that I am single or that I am in a career because I am good at the profession I have chosen, rather than because it is the profession I really want to be in.  I belong outside, yet I work in an office inside a factory.  I count numbers and work with people....   yet my dream is to count birds and insects in the air, fish in the sea, animals on the land, rocks in the ground or stars in the sky and in my dream I would be working alongside mother nature.
I am single and healthy, I wear a suit when in a city and wear boots when in a field.  I get intoxicated, not by narcotics or alcohol, but instead by sounds, sights and smells around us.  My dreams are always of being somewhere else.
All these thoughts remind me of a short film clip I saw on the Internet a couple of years ago.  It is from a website called www.fiftypeopleonequestion.com and the question given was "Where would you like to wake up tomorrow".  It is a short film that always makes me smile when I have the blues about being single or being entrenched in the "rat race".

For me, today, I am currently unsure of how I would answer the question.  I guess my answer would be "somewhere else".   However, when I do have a proper answer, I will come back and add it to the bottom of this article.  In the meantime, what would your answer be?

I have never seen this video before. It is really sooo interesting. Thank you for showing it to us. And you are single? This is crazy, I have been reading through your blog and think you have achieved so much and are very imaginative. You would make somebody very very happy. Deb from Texas :)

Hello my friend,

What a great and inspiring post! Good for you for living outside the box and having the courage to just do it! I love traveling myself also, it's just simply fantastic learning new things and you discover things that can't be found or taught in any book.
